Late S3 dimmer switch attachment

Not really electrical, but how was the dimmer / dip switch on the floor mounted from the factory? Mine is currently
a bolt and nut arrangment which is difficult for one person to install or remove. I can't imagine the
assembly line putting up with that, or maybe they did, I don't know. Maybe large sheet metal screws?

My late S3 is the same. It takes two people or some means of holding the switch assembly in place while you thread the nut on and tighten it.

It was much easier on the assembly line. Most of the electrical and interior was installed with the car on a rolling stand near waist height before the doors were attached to the body.
There is no cure for Lotus, only treatment.

Thanks Dan. I was thinking the same thing last night. The doors were probably not installed yet,
which would make it easier for one person to do the job.
