PYE petite radio

Hi all,
When I got my 67 Elan S3, it had a PYE Petite radio installed. It wasn't connected, and when I connected it, blue smoke was emitted. However, it proved to be an easy fix as it was still wired for positive earth, so a quick change of a jumper and it was working perfectly.
Was this radio an original option, or the previous owners choice? It appears to be from about the right period.

Thanks Les,
That answers my question. Interestingly the Pye Petite radio is not mentioned in the Lotus Elan books that I have, but obviously it is in the +2 books.
