Cig Lighter Hole size

Can someone tell me the hole size of the cigarette lighter please?
The light illumination ring on mine is now crumbling and the lighter element doesn't work anyway so looking to replace. It looks like it's going to be another bun fight with the underdash panel to fit it so hoping to buy and get the right size before doing the job. A quick look on ebay and I see that some are 25mm some 27mm and some 28mm hole size.
If someone has a +2, ideally a S130, dashboard all stripped out and can measure the hole for me it would be really appreciated.
Thanks,
Alan.

Alan, as it happens mine reads 26.33 at the front and 31 mm at the back which has a step in it.sorry for confusion.

From what I remember when I fitted mine, several years ago, the important dimension is the distance from the front bezel to the illumination lamp holder. It needs to be large enough to accommodate the thickness of the dashboard between the bezel and the holder. Otherwise the lamp holder will foul the back of the dashboard. Many cars of the period had thin plastic dashboards so the lamp holder could be close to the front bezel and not foul. From my experience many of the used lighters on eBay would not fit.

Thanks Nick,
That is good information. Like everything on our cars nothing is simple and straightforward is it!
The depth, bezel to holder, I hadn't considered so trying to match one to one from ebay isn't going to be an option it seems!
Thanks again,
Alan.
