Trying to sort out some of the electrical/dash stuff. This is a project car that i recent bought. when loading on the trailer noticed that the ignition switch spins when turning the steering wheel. there does not seem to be a way to detach it /loosen it. it clamps to the column but i cant see a way to loosen it as there is no screw or bolts to loosen. both are "buried" in the clamp it self. any info would be helpful , thanks.

From the factory they have snap off fittings. So if there no heads on the bolts they have been snapped off and you'll need to drill the out it find a different solution.
Likely best to remove the entire columns from the car.

With respect to snap of bolts holding the switch/lock to the steering column, I have had success using a small chisel and hammer to unscrew the bolts.
Hope this helps,
