+2 (fed) Dimmer Switch

I'm starting to refurbish my steering column, wheel and switches. The dimmer switch is the original that has the pull to flash function. It is either broken or just coming apart at the stalk end. It appears that one side of the plastic piece holding the contacts is pinned at one end and was glued at the other. There was glue residue at that end that just flaked off. I'm trying to determine if this was, in fact, just glued together originally.
If I hold the switch together all functions seem to work. If it was just glued originally, I'm thinking that a couple of spots of JB Weld should do the trick. Can anyone confirm that?

Just to finish this thread off for anyone in the future with a similar problem:
Further cleaning and inspection showed clearly that the switch was originally glued down at one end and pinned at the other. Why, who knows. I re-glued it with JP Weld Plastic Adhesive (recommended for plastic to metal) and it works like it's supposed to.
