battery - so many choices

In reviewing old threads here on the forum... I came across the Odyssey pc680 as a common alternative to the original sized batteries (napa 5045 was mentioned as a good fit for stock placement).
In my s3 restoration, I am going to place the battery in the front of the passenger footwell (it will get a little carpet box over it). I'd like to use a pc680 battery. Anyone who has used one have anything to report? I'm told by my lotus guru I should use pc625 (which is a little bigger than the 680) or a pc925 (commonly used in the Elise. There just happen to be far more mounting brackets available for the pc680.... so I thought i'd ask here....

I think I have the pc680 in my +2. Has plenty of power for starting the engine without issue (i have modern starter thou.)
It does drop voltage over time but i think that is my fault for flattening it and charging it up with standard charger a few times. It may be better now I've re-located the ground connection to a better point. I just plug a trickle charger in if its going to be while before I use the car.
I made my own custom bracket for for fitting it.

My Interstate DCS 50L has been strong for 12 years
I think Interstate is #1, then Delco and Diehard, for fibre maybe Optima or the Antigravity ATX20

I used a 680 for 4 years, but recently switched to a 925. With the 680 the car usually fired up from cold only when the key was backed off. There is some discussion of that in the archives. I flooded the car a couple of times when I misjudged it. Otherwise, the 680 was all the battery I needed. It never ran down and is a nice fit.

I use a 625. Better specs and lighter than the 680. Slightly deeper though if footwell depth is a concern. 5th page in the link below is the spec sheet for all of the 'powersport' batteries they offer. If going bigger I'd look at the 950 before the 925. Its less depth, lighter and better specs.

I put an AGM28L in my S4 as it was needed for the high compression. Very fast turnover on a standard starter motor with 210 psi compression.
I found it does need to be trickle charged as it looses its edge if left for a few weeks.
