Tachometer polarity change

I am restoring a 1967 Elan +2 that I am converting to negative ground. I disassembled the tachometer and it looks like the two leads may have already been reversed. On a positive ground tachometer is the contact from the ignition soldered to the capacitor or to the green ground wire? A YouTube MG video showed an already converted tachometer wired as shown in my picture. I believe it's also necessary to reverse the two wires feeding and discharging from the loop. Correct?

Hi Chris,
Certainly you have to change the loop wire. Just remove it and refit it to give the opposite input. That doesn`t sound very clear but I think that when you do it you will work it out. The current through the loop has to travel in the opposite direction to what it did before.
