Hi all
I'm on the wiring loom on my +2 S130 and i've got under bonnet lights on my car
The diagram shows a switch (as door light switch i suppose) and the wiring loom locate it in front of the car, near headlamps swiches, but I don't know where and how it does to work
Maybe somewone has a photo of it to help me ?

It is operated by a courtesy light switch on the very front left leading edge of the bonnet just back from the left headlight. When you open the bonnet it triggers the switch and the engine bay lights should come on.
In theory anyway!....Most don't work and if it sticks on it will flatten your battery! Mine is disconnected and I intend to leave it that way.

On my +2, I fitted a toggle switch to the back side of the radiator blanking plate between the radiator side and the body. On my car the underbonnet lights come on any time the bonnet is open so I ended the uncertainty of on or off. The switch allows activation only when needed, seldom. Not on, at say, a show or during service. Gary

Here is a pic of my under bonnet LH light, behind the bonnet stay, just above the wiper motor.
Mine never worked (the bonnet switch was gone ) but IMHO they would have been fairly dim, and just another gimmick, like the under door "puddle" lights.
I always carry a modern halogen miner type head lamp in the toolkit.

My light is mounted near the top of the bonnet stay on the edge of the bonnet and works well to illuminate the engine bay. As far as i can tell this was the original configuration when it left the factory in 1973. A power and earth wire ran along the edge lip of the bonnet back to the switch on the leading edge of the bonnet

I don't bother to fit the Switch as it only scraps off the paint and gets bent.
Never found it a good illumination BUT if you fitted a LED maybe it could be good

AFAIK, earlier cars had 'puddle lights' at either side of the engine bay. Later cars (130S?) have a light mounted on the trailing edge of the bonnet, a brighter bulb and shining down onto the engine bay.
