Does anyone have a suitable substitute for the Lucas L841 side marker lamp as used on the Federal S4/ Sprint? Or a reasonably priced source? I have 2 lamp housings totally rusted out and I need a recessed mounted lamp housing to cobble into my rusted housings. The rest of the lamp assy is OK

They are pretty easy to source as they were used by all UK imports of the period, Jag, MG, Triumph etc

just this week I had the same problem with my S4 Sprint FHC - both front side lamps were deteriorated beyond salvage /repair and at $85.00 Canadian each , plus taxes/shipping, I shook my head and said no.
At Lordco I found an alternative after market amber oval signal light, 4" x 2" x1"deep, surface mount that covered the existing body holes and looks fine - a purist may notice but at $6.72 each - WTH!
Lordco -Manufacturer; Grote #46713-5. The only mod was I painted the white base black before install. No one will ever notice it - AND - I will put the saving into the Zetec mods.
