I dont recall ever seeing a fan wiring diagram in the Two Seater Lotus Manual (although it may be there )
I believe the plus two wiring diagram contains a fan circuit allthough I dont know if its through a relay.
Anyway I hope this thread and its links may help you.

I?m pretty sure the basic fan circuit is on the S4 wiring diagram but as I?m away from home at the moment I can?t check it. If you want a manual override that?ll be a diy addition but it?s not a difficult bit of wiring.

I just checked since the workshop manual diagram doesn't have it.
The drown with blue strip accessory power goes into the thermostatic switch and comes out on a Green with black stripe wire. The green with black strip goes into the fan motor and comes out to a black ground wire.
If you want to add a manual switch just put it in parallel with the thermostatic one. If you want a light tee it off the green with black wire.

I also could not find anything for the S4 & Sprint, these were the wiring diagrams that I found for the +2 & Europa:
Note in all cases full fan current goes through the temp switch which can (& does) burn it out.
This is the wiring that I implemented:
I think this meets all the OP's requirements.
The additional relay is attached to the narrow radiator side plate.

thank you for sharing, but I would like to know specifically the functions of each relay for the Sprint
Are you totally changing the subject & asking what do the relays under the hood in a Sprint do? If so, they are headlight relays, see attached.
