Hello
Had problems after rebuild with indicators
1) the stalk was so gummed up and corroded that I needed to strip it and clean the contacts
2) flasher was faulty so replaced it
Now;
I have right turn flash no problem
But
Left turn I get a flashing SIDELAMP front left and faint indicator front left.
Hazards
Front left same problem.
If I disconnect front left all indicators work fine.
If I swap left to right the problem remains . So it is not the light pod.
Removing wiring to rear ; problem persists. So it is not the rear lights
I have a leakage somewhere from the indicator circuit to the side lamp circuit but I cannot see where it could be in the diagrams....
Will try a replacement earth to light pod next... the only common wiring is earth...
Help !!!

I think tHe front left light unit has a bad earth. The side light is coming on and the indicator is dim because the earth is common to both within the unit and as the earth isn't good it is finding a path through the filament of the sidelight bulb.

ok, fixed it:
two things:
1) Bad earth ! I unwrapped the cables traced it back to an unconnected ring further back in the loom !
2) lucas flasher flashed fine to go right but did nothing going left.... i happened to have a round spare unit which when wired up fixed the left turn flasher problem !!
one last electrical problem: inop alternator....
