Easy One: Where is the Indicator (Turn Signal) Relay?

Workshop manual says it's behind the driver side window switch, but I couldn't see it there. Should I be able to see it / access it without removing any trim?
Simplest thing would be to follow the clicking sound, but only if the relay is actually working
Thanks in advance chaps (and ladies - do we have any ladies?)

Thanks dgym, I have a couple of hours of garage time scheduled for tonight and locating this relay is top of the list.

Looked again last night and I found the headlamp relay (mounted to the wiper rod) but not the flasher unit.
Surely it's not a dashboard out job?

Hi dgym, no it's a 1967 S3 DHC right hand drive. Pretty much unmolested electrically.

So is mine and the flasher unit is behind the dash on the right hand side, more or less dangling in the wiring, just taped onto what ever is conveniently nearby.
It's not a dashboard out job, but I take out the drivers seat and swing the door out wide then lie on my back with my head under the steering column. Highly uncomfortable.
Nowadays a low cost USB endoscope (USB camera on the end of a lead with a lamp) and a notebook computer, would make finding exactly where it is first, much easier.

Thanks Bill.
I believe that position when you are holding half your body weight on the back of your head in the footwell, torch in your mouth and spanners in each hand, is known as the Lotus Position .
Great idea on the endoscope! Scouring eBay as we speak.
I am going into the garage tonight and I'm not coming out until I find it.
Cheers

Found it! Not on the bulkhead next to the window switch as the workshop manual stated, but cable tied to the steering column as per the others' cars on this forum. Once again, what a great resource this is thanks chaps.
New LED bulbs fitted and new flasher unit installed. Now just to need to work out why only the left bulbs illuminate (I might be back ))

I fitted an 'electronic' flasher unit instead of the old 'thermal' unit. Now my indicators flash at a regular rate even when stationary with the headlights on .. Yes I do still have a dynamo
