Speedo Cable Route? S4 RHD

Hi All,

I'm trying to work out where the speedo cable routes - It is black on a black background so my reference photos and others that I have seen only a little help.

It comes out through the bulkhead (got that location) then appears to pass between the carb and the solenoid looping back to the bulkhead where it is retained buy a P clip.

Is that correct? where does it go next? at the moment it just seems to dangle!
