tach conundrum; dipping to 0 RPM on acceleration

This is a good head scratcher... The distributor was converted to electronic and the tach was sent out for conversion. Everything runs well except when I'm driving and take my foot off the gas for a moment and then reaccelerate the tach RPM drops momentarily to zero upon acceleration before going back up to the proper RPM!

Hi Richard,
This may sound a little odd but check the fuses are seating correctly at the fuse box. I had a similar problem which turned out to be the fuses moving in the fuse box and not making contact. This occurred mainly under acceleration,going round corners and going over bumps. Are they loose and of the correct length? You could also check out the voltage stabiliser connections. Get the car started and wiggle (not exactly a technical term) things about and watch the tach.
