S1 Winscreen Wiper to dash fitting

PostPost by: vstibbard » Wed Feb 20, 2013 5:09 am

Help Needed...

I'm reassembling dash on jan 64 S1 elan and when I came to fit the combined wiper/pump switch, I have a problem. My switchand pump has tested out fine.

I have the nut for the switch, but it seems I'm missing something to fill the hole in the dash and allow the knob to full be pushed in.

Does anyone know what it looks like and or what it came off

Anyone know of a source for one.

Regards

P6040073.jpg and

thanks to Gary, I've a picture of the missing culprits, from previous thread, I'm hoping to find the thimbles for both wiper switch and the headlight vacuum switch, as I'm missing these.

Any suggestions?

For the wiper switch there is a very similar part that comes up on ebay from time to time - I think it's from the 105e or 109e. The front (outer) thimble is the same; the one on the back is deeper because it fits on a thinner panel but it can be cut down.

I don't think the headlamp vacuum switch has a thimble - see this photo:
