Rocker Switches

Does anyone have a formula for restoring the dash rocker switches back to black? Mine have turned milky grey with time.

hey - this may sound too simple, but it works pretty well: using your fingernail you can kind of polish the surface - there are
probably better methods though - cheers sandy j S3DHC - VSE =very special equipment

This has been discussed here several times. If I recall, using hydraulic brake fluid on the switches cleans them up well. Others spray paint them.

I have always used Autoglym vinyl and rubber care to keep the switches black and shiny, 1 coating was applied to my switches nearly a year ago and they still look good. You might be able to see the results in the Photo Gallery section, page 3 under NEARLY FINISHED.

Polish off the oxide with very fine paint cutting polish (or your finger nail)
Clean off with a good cleaner
Colour with indelible marker if needed
Polish with a product of your choice
