Lotus Elan S2 Headlights

Hello all,
My car is LDH but will stay on the british side of the Channel for a little while and I am planning to swap the headlights for some RHD ones.
According to the Robinshaw/Ross book, the reference for S1-S3 are model F700, part number 58683D/E.
Lots of classic cars have F700 headlights on, but with different references.
Any idea what the reference means? Or what the differences could be between two references? I could be offered some Morris Minor RHD lights but I have no idea if they fit and/or what the different is.
Thanks for your replies,
Best regards,
Etienne

Greetings Etienne,
I'm guessing the Morris headlights will work fine. Are you sure you don't already have RHD lamps in the car? I guess the difference is the aim, and high beam location but I'd think you could adjust LHD to be nearly RHD using the adjustment screws on the bezel holding the light in.
If you park in front of a wall and flip from low beam to high beam, which way does the high beam move L or R?
Good Luck, Eric

Thanks for your answer Eric!
My car is an original LHD and spent all its life in Switzerland, so the lights are LHD.
My plan is to put the car on UK registration plates (easier for insurance reasons) so I will have to pass the MOT tests and that can be done only with a proper set of RHD headlights.
Thanks again,
Etienne
