Direction Indicators.

Help needed on my 1971 +2 S130 with collapsible steering column.
Are the direction indicators supposed to be self cancelling? If so what is the mechanism that is used to achieve this? I cannot find any help in the manual or in the archives, if someone can enlighten me I would be grateful.

I dont know much about +2's but if they are the same as the two seater this thread should help.

Confirm that the +2 uses the same collar system as the link says.
