Coil location

Where is the coil fixed? Have searched the archives and am now more confused as there seems to be a number of different places they have been fixed in the engine bay. Look forward to reply as one of the last jobs to do before firing up.

What model Plus 2?

Mine is a early Plus 2 and that had it visible alongside the airbox and in front of the pedal box. Later ones has it out of site below the airbox (better cooling there?) I think.

I have a late Plus 2 but am considering moving the coil to the position it is on the early cars to allow better access.

Richard, could I please ask you to take some photos and maybe some measurements so we can see exactly where the coil is on your car.
