Immobiliser - may be off topic...

Hi Guys and Gals,

Anyone got a wiring diagram for the Autowatch 171PPi?

My +2 has a Autowatch 171PPI keyfob Immobiliser system.

I have had the car battery out of the car for a week or so to do some minor jobs.

When I put the battery bak in yesterday to give the car a quick spin the led (visible warning light) on my Autowatch 171PPI stayed red.

Usually it blinks red.

Tapped the immobiliser box a few times and it went OFF

Car started fine and drove.

When I got back I fiddled with the box a bit more and light went STEADY ON again....

Now it's STEADY OFF.

Don't know if the car will suddenly switch off while I'm driving

Peter if you can get the pcb out of the box check the solder joints on the back sounds like poor joints.

Hi Ian,

Had an opportunity to take the immobiliser control box out last week....

Out gushed a load of milky water

Have since dired it out in the hotpress and re-inserted in car today.

After a bit of worrrying clicking, relays tripping on start up attempt I eventually managed to get the car started.

All seems to be ok....for now......

Am going out for a spin now to free everything up before teh snow arrives
