As a person used to everything being electrnic i now have to learn about older tupe systems..iv owned my plus 2 best part of a year now,runs great,no ignition/carb problems,iv changed plugs 1k miles ago..what else needs my attention? i want to make sure she runs as she does now..dont want to tinker for the sake of it,but dont want to neglect anything that can lead to problems later...

Are you on points or an electonic ignition?
If on electonic, basics are;
Ensure the dizzy cap is clean and dry and leads are same and not chaffing. Liberal lube of advance weights under the stator plate of the dizzy.
Check HT coil LT wires and connections are clean and tight.
Also the rotor arm is clean and dry (and the Dizzy posts are clean of any build up).
