New Distributor

PostPost by: steveww » Wed Sep 26, 2007 11:20 am

The old 23D4 distributor is on its last legs after 40 years of abuse. The body has cracked 180 around the base. The 23D4 bodies are no longer available so I have decided to go with a brand new full electronic distributor, fully details on my site http://www.steveww.org/index.php?id=145

Hi Steve

The pic looks like a mini dizzy with the offset drive? Isn't the twin cam a geared drive? I have not taken mine out yet.

Steve,

If the crack on the 23d4 is around the boss where it is clamped to the block, it is not unusual. Paul Matty's got the original repaired and refurbished. I had been using a 43D4 for a while, but I have gone back to the original one now.

Fully electronic sounds good, though.

best regards, iain
