This may seem a silly question ? which way up should the front sidelight and indicator lights be fitted?
On my Sprint the nearside and offside lamps are fitted 90 degrees to each other, and appears to have always been like this.
As both sidelight and indicator lenses have optic designs, it is obvious that one side is correct and the other side is not ? which is it???

From what I remember, the indicator lenses (Hillman Imp rear type) have a 'pip' on then that lines up with a slot in the chrome body. This should be at the bottom.
The sidelights have a metal shield/reflector on one side, which should be the inboard side, so that the magnifying part of the lens points outwards.
