Starter solenoid

Does anyone know the part number of the starter solenoid on my 1971 +2?
I am getting fed up having to open the bonnet to start the car!

Chris,

Change the damned starter!

I bought a Brise starter from Paul Matty. Tiny and very effective. It bypasses the main solenoid as it has one built in.

Regards,

Hamish.

Hamish,
Great thought! However I have another raft of problems and the purse only stretches so far. I now have a fuel filter clogging problem( I know you have been there) and the kenlowe fan switch has decided to curl up its toes.
I shall go the cheap route until the winter when I shall have the car in the garage and spend the kids xmas present money on it.
I have still had the best year sofar out of the old girl, what with the le Mans trip. I am just hoping to make the endurance series meeting at Donnington and Goodwood revival and I will be happy over the long winter!
