Hi Richard,
I am pleased to hear that you have received your gauge after repair.
There is an advantage to sending it to Speedy Cables. Although it costs almost as much as a new one they do a full overhaul of the instrument and fit a new capillary tube and bulb whereas my repairs used all the original parts in whatever state they were with a shortened tube which may have work hardened over time.
They have done good work for me in the past.
