Ian, I believe all of the suppliers have lense only. The replica lense is shown as item four in the gallery on the Impossible Creations web site.

Hi
I have 3 correct switched ones on my car; I bought 2 unswitched ones on ebay with cracked lenses to swap them over.
I will be putting 2 of the switched ones on ebay at some point to fund the new unswitched lenses. If you need them PM me and I will let you know when I put them on.

Sorry Chaps,
I don't know the price. Contact Impossible Creations to find out.
The guy who told me about them has high standards and I believe he is a happy bunny.
Dave.

Thought this was worth a mention? I watched this Cortina lamp sell for ?51
They used to be a cheap alternative to the correct +2 ones.

I'm going to stick my head on the line and say this. The world has gone mad. It's just a piece of plastic and not even a very attractive piece. What's more is that it's so old and brittle it'll probably break as soon as it's fitted. We just need someone to produce a good repro unit at a reasonable price which will last another 40 years. I like to enjoy my car, not wrap it up in cotton wool... rant over

It is crazy as the lenses would more than likely be shot.
I suspect there would be low demand for any new ones made so the production would make it uneconomical. The prices of the used ones are going to get higher and higher.

Sorry to post this here but is was the most current interior light thread. Is it just as hard to obtain an S3 (I have an S4 but strangely an S3 dash) interior light?
The one in this picture:
The lens on mine has crumbled away. A guy at the Beaulieu auto jumble told me it's the same light as used in the Rover P5, is that the case?
I found this one here but it has a switch:
http://www.holden.co.uk/displayproduct. ... de=010.058
Are the correct ones available or can the switched one be used?

Thanks Jason, I am buying the second one (free postage makes it cheaper than first one). Didn't think to look on eBay.

Interesting?
I assumed the base castings were the same for the Cortina and the +2. But not so (see pics), Cortina on BOTTOM and +2 on the TOP. (edited as I got it around the wrong way. Good spot Gary).
I have the +2 one listed on ebay at the moment but not sure I want to sell it now? May be I will keep it as a spare.
It is amazing that Lotus would go to all the trouble of making a different base and lens? Why did they not just use the Cortina one?

Hi Gary
They are defo not the same castings and the switch is even on the opposite side. I bought the Cortina one (on the bottom of the photo) assuming I could swap over the metal parts of the switch if I ever needed to. But looking at the castings this is not possible. Cortina lights are a lot cheaper but of no use for parts.
