Steering Column electical connections

Hello
I have the steering column almost removed from my S3 to change the bushes. I cannot see how to disconnect the indicators and headlight stalk switches. The manual simply says disconnect them but on my car I see no obvious connectors to allow this.
In the past the wires for both the indicators and headlamp main beam/dip have been wrapped in either tape or some plastic sleeving. Peeling this back doesn't reveal any bullet or spade connectors.
The only connectors I can see are at the switches themselves but these are original soldered connections.
Can anyone shed any light please?

Hi Martin,
The column switches have fairly long wires attached with bullet connectors at the end for connection to the loom. Unless your wiring has been altered you should find the bullet connectors around 6-8 inches after the wires exit the shroud on the underside of the outer column.
