connections to heater

PostPost by: JeffP » Thu Feb 08, 2024 10:26 pm

I've had my dash out, in my 1969 Elan plus2, and thought I had labelled everything, but obviously not. Please can someone tell me which wires connect to the plate with 3 spade terminals on the side of the heater box. Thank you.

Wot Gus sed. later today I can check my wiring diagram and see if I can give you more specific information about which wire goes where on it.

It matters if you want the fan speed to match the switch label.

Both wires terminate on the resistor. One wire goes straight from the switch to the motor connection side of the resistor, the other through the resistor to the motor. The red/green is HI speed from pin 1 on the switch (double connection on the resistor) and the green/yellow is LOW from pin 2 (single connection on the resistor). There's also a ground for the motor. On my car the ground for the motor is the white wire to the motor and the wire from the resistor to the motor is the black wire.
