Dash lamp size and type?

The parking brake light on my 71 +2 S130 stopped working so I pulled it out and a green-shielded lead was loose that I'm guessing is the problem. But I can't figure out how to get it attached back in the rear of the lamp fixture.
If I look at replacement units such as https://kelvedonlotus.co.uk/product/das ... amp-amber/ The assembly looks quite different to mine. The one on this page has two metal ears that the wires obviously attach to.
In my case the wires are going into a metal tube that presumably gets crimped around them. However the space is so tight there's no way I can get anything in there to recrimp the green lead. See the 2 attached pics for what my lamp assemblies look like - they don't really match what's shown on the Kelvendon page.
I may well just get a new unit but thought I'd check here in case there's something I'm missing about how to access the wiring attachment points better with this one...
A few other small questions:

A few other small questions:
- - My parking brake light is amber, is it supposed to be red? (My Elan is a Federalized car in case that matters)
- Presumably the 2 wires going onto the one connect are so that one of the leads goes on and provides power to the adjacent lamp? So if I get a new lamp I'll need to do the same attachment.
- The hole in the dash is 15mm dia, while the black bodies of the lamps are all 12.5mm (mine and new ones for sale). All the lamps in my car have several layers of electrical tape to create a friction fit - is that standard procedure?

I think maybe your bulbholder just slides into the back of the coloured lens piece ?
If so the bulb in the lamp holder I suspect is of the capless variety. Have you tried tugging on the bulb itself to see if it pulls out of the plastic?

Yes the bulb itself just comes out. The plastic body is in two parts as hopefully is clear in the photos: There's the inner/rear part where the leads connect and which the bulb goes into. Then there's the outer/front part with the lens.
What I'm trying to figure out is in the back with the wiring.

looking at your first photo, I wonder if what we can see is end of the crimp tag and the wire has just pulled out of it.
In which case with some with some penetrating oil, patience and wiggling it may pull off and you can fit a new crimp tag to the wire. Maybe !!
