+2 brake warning light

PostPost by: checkrail » Fri Jul 07, 2023 4:00 pm

Hi all, S130 with ashtray in the dash.
I turned my battery master switch on and the brake fail warning light illuminated, but I don't have a low level device on the master cylinder!
Turning the ignition on the light went out ,started the engine and everything including the tach is fine all electrics are working o.k. I pulled the warning light out from the dash, and the two connections are really tight.
This has got me really baffled I 've had the +2 four years and this is the first time it's happened.

Any advice please? Thank you John

How are the wires behind instrument panel, check contacts in bulb housing?

On my S130 the brake warning light is a combined fluid level and handbrake warning light. Mine has the fuses in the dash, so maybe the spec changed on later cars.
