Types of relays and switches to use on an S3 DHC
Hello,
I am trying to get a list of the types of relay to use on an S3 DHC.
The car has not been modified as far as I can tell except for the addition of an electric fuel pump next to the fuel tank and crudely installed electric radio aerial. The car was just left standing undriven for 33 years so plenty of corrosion around.
Is there a list anywhere with just the basic part numbers?
Also where should I expect to find them on the car (e.g. in-cab driver side or engine bay front left etc etc)?
A look at wiring diagram for an S1/S2 I expect to see the following..
1) RELAYS
Headlamp flashing relay
Headlamp relay
2) FLASHER UNITS
Headlamp flasher unit
Indicator flasher unit
3) SWITCHES
Headlamp micro switch (2 off) in the engine bay
Indicator switch
Heater motor switch
Stop switch
Wiper motor switch
Main lamp switch (where does this live and what does it look like)
Panel lamp switch
The car has electric windows (but the motors were removed and no longer available with the car. Pity)

You will find most if not all on this site if you search, but S3 has quite a few variations in the electrics over the years.
