Are the wipers supposed to self park - Elan Sprint

PostPost by: Mrmci » Mon Jan 16, 2023 7:52 am

Hi chaps,

My wipers don't self park, are the supposed to.

If so, is there a simple fix?

Cheers

Yes , It could be the self-park switch ( fitted underneath the wiper body ) or the wiring itself...there is a permanent battery and earth connection ( via the ignition if I remember correctly.)

Time to get the diagram and multi-meter out.

There is a lot going with the self parking circuitry. There have been a few threads about this recently.

I came across an excellent description from a gentleman on the Morgan website. Link below:

NB
If you're going to take it apart , note the " mounting clip " , 1cm ( approx) slide then remove.
