Multiblade fan for Sprint is that original fitting?

Hi,
I have the usual electric 'pusher' fan with 4 metal blades on a Sprint, I have seen occasionally a 6 blade plastic type fitted... (see pic below)
Do you know where I can source one and would it fit the motor spindle?
Was this ever an original fitment?
Thanks!
Iain

I think, but am not 100% sure but I think one was used early on, the other later..... I think metal early, plastic later......

I thought the difference was 6 blade plastic was UK & 4 blade Metal blade Federal, but I've seen UK Sprints & 130/5s with the metal blades as well.
The difference is also in the motors.
The 6 blade plastic fan has a 1/4" shaft motor, the 4 blade metal fan blade goes on a 5/16" shaft on a 3" diameter motor. That 3" motor is seriously powerful! This means the fan blades are not interchangeable alone.
Here are the 2 systems for comparison

I’ll throw another one into the mix, as fitted to my 1972 Sprint.
3” motor fitted with a 5 blade 7” fan. With the fitting offset towards the filler cap side of the rad.

Phil,
that's interesting I didn't realise the motors were different sizes, and I notice your plastic example would need to rotate anti-clockwise to push...
Persiflage I think the standard position is to the right, nearest the otter switch when viewed from the front.
Both my UK Sprints had 3" motors & 4 metal blades, rotating clockwise viewed from the front.
I had an idea that the 6 blade would give me an easy upgrade for bit more air flow compared to the metal one, maybe not!

I've been doing some digging into this.
The parts list does indeed, as Phil said, have two motors and two fan styles listed.
Then, in looking through my extensive Sprint photo library, it has become clear that the larger motor and four, black, steel bladed fan were fitted to Sprints, certainly from the start of 1972. It appears that the white plastic fan was fitted during S4 production and then likely carried over to 1971 Sprint production. I need to investigate the Plus 2S 130 set up too.
persiflage, the cowled fan was an Europa fitting.
As an added benefit as I looked through the photos, I realised that Dellorto carburetors were also fitted from early 1972, having previously thought that they were introduced around May 1972.

My October 73 130/5 had the four blade fan setup, on narrow radiator. My guess would be the change over for elan and +2 would be similar time.
'73 +2 130/5 RHD, now on the road and very slowly rolling though a "restoration"
