I would have a word with

Not sure if they can do the S3 variant, but the quality is excellent and just quicker than a refurb.

Geni,
I have used Speedy Cables to refurbish a gauge in the past and they did a good job, if somewhat expensive. I see they also sell replica gauges. I’ve not searched their list for your tachometer, but they may be worth contacting.

Thanks for sharing, can you tell me the ref of the number indicated on the dial of the tachometer for the Elan S3
Gérard,
the serial number for speedos is the same for elans S1, S2, S3 : Smith SN6136
then for S4 it became Smith SN6207
The most obvious difference is the font used on the face between them
regarding the gearing, this may be indicated in very small characters below the center, in terms of TPM (turn per mile) or TPK (turn per kilometer), but that may not be much of your concern if you intend to get it refurbished and calibrated.
ps: these informations and more are from the forum , e.g. see https://lotuselan.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=22546
good luck !

celui indiqué par "nmauduit doit être le compteur
reste a vérifier
indeed, sorry for the confusion, you wrote tacho then I read speedo as I found them a lot harder to source, esp. in kph... the same face font change would apply between S1/S2/S3 and later models though (then there are the pos. earth and neg earth versions, I suppose you'd rather get a neg earth model). Tachos should not be that hard to find, if need be with a bit of patience... good luck !
