interior light wiring in elan s1 rear loom?

Hi,
My first post on the forum having recently acquired an S1 Elan from David Rose.
Amongst a range of jobs I'm in the process of replacing the wiring loom. The replacement rear loom, produced by Autosparks, has additional purple and purple/white wires which are not present on the original rear loom.
It looks like it is to accommodate two additional interior lights which to my knowledge weren't fitted to a s1 or 2. Certainly the wiring diagrams I have don't show more than the single interior light on the dash.
Before I cut into the new loom to remove the surplus wires can I check whether any of you have come across this before please and/or can explain what the additional wiring is for?
many thanks
Andrew

Hi Graeme,
yes I have the workshop manual and wiring diagrams.
Having now heard back from the supplier, it transpires that despite the rear loom being listed as an S1/S2 loom it also incorporates the wires for the two interior lights of the S3 coupe.
So at least mystery solved

I have both an S1 (23/0538, owned and driven for 58 years)) and a Sprint coupe.
The Si has NO CABIN LIGHTS other than the dash mounted one so the extra wires are redundant. Judging by the wire colours they are for the later series coupe rear cabin side mounted lights.
I have rewired both.
