Linread courtesy switch

Good afternoon,
A quick question. Should the oval-ish flange on the Linread courtesy switch be mounted inside the car or outside? Outside looks better but more protection from the elements if it is mounted inside. I have failed to find any pictures of the switch fitted to the car.
Cheers,
David

Hi David,
The switch mounts on the outside with a number of packing gaskets under the flange to adjust the contact point as the door closes. The gaskets are available from SJSportscars and probably the other Lotus parts suppliers also if you don't already have them or you could probably make up a suitable spacer.
