tacho/ignition switch query

Hi, When I turn my ignition switch to start, the tacho flicks over to max and then registers back to normal when the engine fires. It doesn't do this every time, this is the only thing that's wrong, it reads steady as it should according to the engine speed.
Everything electrically is fine, I am running on electronic ignition.
Could it be a suspect ignition switch?
I would appreciate any thoughts thanks John S130 +2

It is certainly not a faulty ignition switch.
Needle sweep is a Saxo boy racer's dream! The Audi RS cars, as indeed many high end cars, have this sweep as standard. A gimmick, but it fires up some folk!
I cannot remember exactly what causes it - it is all about the rev counter getting a 12V shot - probably from your ignitor. I do not believe serious.. but maybe check with a professional when passing.
