I have to replace the wiring harness on the S3, and the one supplied by the one who must be the only manufacturer! does not correspond exactly (modification to be made, lengthen shorten, modify), I also had to do it for the Sprint where I had to intervene and rectify! (known refrain)
Why not report it to these suppliers who could rectify it once and for all, as we all know how difficult it is to install correctly... without these connection problems on the dashboard.....
It would be good if someone specialised in our Elans could take this in hand and ask for it to be rectified for a correct installation
What do you think?

I agree.
I've just bought an S4 harness that came with issues. The issues were corrected immediately and without fuss, but that is not the point. The models have been around long enough to prevent these issues.
My supplier did not even specify what harness diagram he was working to. I believe it will keep happening.

While the S2’s may have more similar.
I always thought s3 & 4 had variants, placement of gauges etc

The type 26 loom is reasonably simple, simple enough for me to cope with. The S3 loom has a circuit for the electric windows whilst the S4/Sprint loom has a separate engine bay loom - I think, I just pulled the loom out of my Sprint, but I'd have to go back and look at the photos.
Andrew! Looks like you linguistic skills are called for
