Blowing Fuses! Help!

Hello all!
I have bought a recently rebuilt '69 +2, which blows the fuse protecting the indicators, heater and "handbrake on" light whenever I use the lights, heater, radio (etc) in combination. The fuses are blowing after a minute or two, so there's obviously something amiss!
The fuses installed are "35 amp blow/17amp continuous".
Any thoughts?
Thanks.
