Dan,
Thanks for that info.
Much appreciated.
Its not listed anywhere in the technical manuals, where did you get the data?
Also, do you happen to know if its different to later cars, possibly due to different windscreen shapes?
Well done anyway!
Regards,
Phil.

Probably would be, if I had a wiper motor!
It presumably was ripped out as a weight saving exercise, whilst the car was in USA racing.
Various replies on this one sofar: i.e. 140 and 150 degrees.
Nothing is ever straight forward is it !
Any more offers ??!!

If you have a protractor you can decide what angle you would like..

My S3 had a manky old motor from a '55 Austin Cambridge. The kit above, with a bit of mounting fabrication, worked out very well.

Not sure what anyone else did with this information but I ordered a universal motor with a 140 deg gear for my Elan Sprint based on the information in this thread.
Unfortunately it is totally wrong, at full sweep the wipers fall off the end of the screen no matter where you start them.
As far as I can tell ~125deg would be the absolute maximum an Elan can handle.
Now to buy a new gear and dig out my motor and rebuild it.

As far as I am aware, the wiper motor and gearboxes are original on my Sprint, and the wipers fall off the screen at the far end of their travel.
Perhaps its a case of "They all do that, Sir"
