wiper motor gear washers

When I purchased a new main gear wheel and crank assembly for my S4 Elan and it came with 2 washers. One is flat and the other is a sprung wavey type. Not sure which washer fits where??

I made a diagram when taking mine apart but sadly didn't take pictures. When putting it back together, I put the cupped (spring) washer on the shaft first, with the raised inside diameter towards the gear and the outside sitting on the bushing in the housing. The plain washer goes under the c-clip on the outside of the housing.

On the top of the gear where the arm attaches, I have a plain washer on the shaft first, the nylon bush coming into the arm from the top, another plain washer, and then the c-clip.

I believe that to be correct but can't guarantee that it hadn't been taken apart before I got it. Many strange things happened during that eight years before I owned the car. If it's wrong, I'm sure there's someone out there that has rebuilt more of these than either you or I have.
