which grease in the wiper rack?

PostPost by: jono » Tue Sep 13, 2011 9:47 pm

I have just given the wheel boxes, rack and motor and damn good clean to remove all the old hard grease. They run beautifully now.

Can anyone recommend the best grease to use when re packing everything - moly or just a standard all purpose grease?

I am guessing that modern greases have moved on somewhat since the 1970 vintage stuff I have just removed :?

Cheers

Jon,

Any branded semi-fluid grease will be sufficient for your needs.

I used LM, having just done the same job: all running very smoothly now.
