Can anyone post a sketch / line diagram of the +2 vacuum system for the fail safe model please? I would like to know the positon of the electric solenoid valve relative to the vacuum reservoir, hose route from and to the solenoid valve and connections up to the vacuum actuator.
Thanks for any info. you can give.
Regards John.

John, in words (sorry don't have a scanner close to hand for a sketch)
From inlet of No 1 cylinder
Non-return valve (check it doesn't leak)
To Tee on chassis vacuum crossmember
From Tee to solenoid valve port A
Solenoid valve has a 3 ports (lets call them A, B, C)
Port B is the atmosphere
Port C is connected to the actuator thing (has internal rubber diaphgragm)
Non energised, Port A & C are connected so lights stay down. Port B is blocked
Energised, Ports B & C are connected so vacuum is lost from actuator thing and lights pop up due to the spring (Port A is blocked so the the vacuum within cross-member isn't lost)
sorry about the words, draw it out and it will make sense
Regards
Gerry
