Q2. Has anybody worked out the correct fuse ratings for the electrical circuits on an Elan +2S or do we just follow the lotus manual fuse ratings
Q3. When using rubber thackery washers on weber carburetter mounting is there a set torque setting or is there a setting gap as with the original spring type washers

Hi, I'm no help on #s 1 and 3, tho the manual may give torque ratings. The fuses should be what Lotus specifies. If you're blowing a fuse, there's a fault.
The clearance "ought" to be a half to three quarters of an inch on the air box but I'm sure there are variations. Make sure you've got your motor mounts installed properly, there are numerous threads here on correct installation.
Good Luck, Eric

Hi Eric
Thanks for the reply the reason i asked about the fuse rating was that the lotus spec of fuses seems to be quite high for the circuits ie 35amp for lh high beam ,and with reputation of lotus electrics i just thought this isssue may have been talked about .I have now taken the wiring diagram to a local auto electric who has alot of experience on older cars i will have some feed back next week when i vist him again .
regards ian
