Wanted: Window Rocker Switch

PostPost by: tscollins » Thu Mar 10, 2005 4:57 am

I need one window rocker switch. I have inquiries out to a few of the commercial parts suppliers here in the US, but given Dave Beans' $50 (USD) catalog price, I thought maybe I could do better here. Thanks for your help.

Tim,

Try http://www.s-v-c.co.uk/

They should have what you need.

Hamish.

Hello Tim,

I had problems looking for these same switches for my +2S 130. I looked everywhere and found nothing. Then I learned they came from a washing machine manufacturer many years ago and are no longer available.
In the end I bought a set on http://www.ebay.co.uk. It's worth a look as they appear quite frequently.

Here's one that sold last month. If this is what you're after eBay.co.uk is the best place to look -

Best of luck,

Simon

Hamish,
Thank you for the referral to SVC. They were very prompt in answering me with the fact that they need a Lucas part number or the name of the mass produced car that used the same switch in order to help locate a replacement. Since I have neither of these pieces of information, I am pursuing alternate suppliers. Thanks again for your suggestion.

Tim:

The S4/Sprint switches were manufactured by Arrows and are supposedly no longer available. Bean or others may still have some, thus the high $$$$.

Sue Miller has some switches but I don't remember if she had any window switches, but she is worth a try.
