John, what is the current status of your ignition switch wiring?
Do you ever get an ignition light on the Tacho?
The white wire on Terminal 3 is the ignition feed (supply), it can have several connectors as it runs in series through the Tacho & anti-theft switch before arriving at the coil.
p.s. Happy New Year

Happy New Year to you Phil Yes I finally found the fault, the earth wire from the solenoid to the cam cover stud had broken approx. 1" from the end and as it has a soft rubber covering it wasn't ovious. It now turns over as it should
I've now got to find out why it will not fire up, this is what happened after I had it running o.k. and the next day turned it over and it would'nt start That was when I replaced the solenoid and ignition switch ( when there was no need)
Its been on trickle charge and I'm getting approx 14V
The weather is so cold and I've got to force myself to go outside in the garage.
Regards John
