The Ford 2.3 has the two upper bolt holes significantly higher than the 1500/1600 engines. Probably could just cut it down and re-drill, though.

Very doable. I know it was discussed here, with pictures, using the factory version of this bellhousing
when fitting a T5. The top two ears were cut off and relocated.
