Drive Shaft Yoke?

Greetings oncemore.
I'm trying to sort my elan +2 propshaft out
In storage, the yoke that slots into the gearbox became rusted and so I elected to replace it, so as to avoid sealing issues down the line.
The retailer could only get their hands on this slightly different iteration, from a standard elan I believe.
As per photo, they are overall the same length, but are slightly different in design. The helpful chap reckoned this would do the job. I'm not so sure.
Wondering what you guys think? Whether this would work? I'm thinking that it would butt up against the gearbox seal end.
Thank as ever.
Dave
