Universal Joint clearance

Hello all.
Just fitting new UJs to my propshaft.
They came from a lotus specialist.
As per photo there is very tight clearance on the grease nipple. It's screwed in as far as possible, and there is even less clearance if fitted the other way up.
It allows for some movement, would this be enough given there's (I guess) very little displacement of the propshaft.
Are these wrong for the job?
Thanks
Dave

Would have thought the grease nipple should be 90° not 45°

It is a tight fit to get the grease gun tip, to connect between the bearings.
I have used the Grease Rejuvenator to get access though the service plug, beside right seat in tunnel.
Some kits come with a plug, which you add whatever nipple you choose. Though, its such a tight space. Might be impossible to do?
Mine is a very short, straight nipple. So a 90 makes sense!

Born, and brought home from the hospital (no seat belt (wtf)) in a baby!

If you closely you should see a very small scallop/chamfer to give clearance for grease nipple.

Racers and weight saving
Yes reduction in rotational mass is especially important . It also makes greasing easier as I screw in a long fitting which makes getting the grease gun on easier in the confined space through the access hole or just in front of the diff.
cheers

I do exactly what Rohan reported - my U-joint grease nipple left very little clearance. There isn't a lot of angular movement with these driveshafts, so greasing interval is longer than with typical installations.
