5 speed gearbox dismantling query

The large pinion nut on the output shaft - does anyone know if this is a left or right hand thread?

It's damned tight so concerned not to inadvertently overtighten the nut in an effort to undo it.

The Lotus manual is great - "remove it", no mention of thread direction!

If you mean the nut on the end of the 3rd motion shaft, it has a left-hand thread.
